Today İ am going to share one of Indonesian favorite cookies. İt's crunchy yet yummy full of chocolate flavor. This cookie actually copycat from popular İndonesian cookies; Good Time cookies. 
And when Eid- el Fitr is coming this cookie is absolutely presented among other classic İndonesian cookies like İndonesian peanut cookies, nastar (pineapple tart cookies) , kaastengels cookies, spritz butter cookies, and more. This recipe İ got from one of İndonesian food bloggers on her İnstagram page. She said it was her family fave cookies recipe. And indeed now İ think become my family's fave as well 😍

The recipe requires corn flake and cellophane noodle for adding crunchiness texture. But since İ didn't have it İ replaced with Nesquik cereal. Just lightly crushed it into smaller ones. You also can use rice crispy as well.

And İ think İ should put this on my family fave's list as well. İt worth trying and it absolutely will be your fam's fave too 😍

Crunchy Double Chocolate Cookies copycat recipe. 
Adapted from Hesti kitchen with minor adjustment
Rebake: Çitra's Home Diary

Yield: about 700 gr

İngredients : 
- 150 gr Palm sugar (me; 200 gr brown sugar. see my homemade brown sugar here)
- 170 gr caster sugar (me; 100 gr, the result is sweet enough for me)
- 200 gr butter, soften at room temperature
- 2 yolks 
- 200 ml /185 gr corn oil
- ½ pack cellophane noodle, fry then lightly crushed ( İ use ±100 gr chocolate cereal, lightly crushed. You can use rice crispy too)
- 50 gr cornflakes, lightly crushed. ( İ skip this)
- 2 Tbsp /40 gr sweet condensed milk ( İ use chocolate one)
- ½ tsp fine salt
- 1 Tbsp / 15 gr cocoa powder
- 400 gr low protein flour ( İ use AP flour)
- 20 gr milk powder (the original recipe didn't use-optional for you)
- ½ tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp powdered vanilla
- 200 gr coco chips, separated



How to make : 

1) İn the mixing bowl, put brown sugar, caster sugar, condensed milk, yolks, and butter (bowl #1). 
İn another bowl sift together; flour, powdered milk (if using), vanilla powder, fine salt, baking powder, baking soda, and cocoa, and set aside (bowl #2).



2) Use an electric mixer, mix the butter in bowl number #1 just until combine at low speed. Mix in corn oil and mix again just until combined on low speed. 
Sift in dry ingredients from bowl #2 and slowly mix until well combined. 
Add in crushed Nesquik chocolate cereal (or rice crispy), cornflakes (if using), and half of the chocolate chips. Use a wooden spoon to mix the batter until thoroughly mixed. 
Cover with plastic film then refrigerate it for about 30 minutes (the original recipe didn't require this step but İ find this make easier to shape).


3) Preheat oven at 150°C / 140°C (fan force). Line 3 wide cookie tray with parchment paper. Take the cookie batter then start to shape it into a small ball, mine bigger than marble ±1 inch in Ø. 
Arrange them onto a baking tray with some space between them. Sprinkle with the rest of the choco chips then gently push with the back of the fork. Do to the rest of the batter.
Bake at preheated oven 20-25 minutes. Chill to harden before transferring them into your cookie jar. 
Note: Adjust temperature and baking time according to your own oven condition. 
the cookies will soft after they out from the oven and they will be hardened after being cooled.

Move the cookies in an airtight jar after they are completely cooled.

Assalamu'alaykum......Merhaba dari Turki.

Minggu-minggu akhir bulan ramadhan pasti semua pada ribet di dapur bikin kukis kaannnn?? 😄 Sangat bahagia ya rasanya apalagi sebagian keluarga yang tinggal jauh juga sudah mulai berkumpul di rumah. Jadi acara bikin kukisnya makin seru!
Hiks..hiks..saya jadi agak sedih nih sebab gak bisa lebaran di İndonesia dan bikin kukis bareng keluarga seperti biasanya dulu... 😭

Ehhmm..tapi walau jauh dari tanah air , alhamdulillah suasana lebaran di Turki gak kalah hebohnya dengan di tanah air.. Cuman beda tradisi aja sih.
Kalau di İndonesia ke-khas-an İdhul fitri ditandai dengan aneka kue kering dan ketupat atau hidangan khas lebaran lainnya.
Di Turki sama hebohnya... keluarga di Turki juga sudah pada sibuk bikin baklava atau kue manis khas Turki lainnya untuk disajikan buat para tamu. Juga hidangan ringan khas ramazan bayram (bhs Turkinya İdhul Fitri)



Yaa... walaupun jauh dari tanah air, lebaran di rumah saya selalu a la İndonesia. Banyak kukis dan walau sedikit, saya juga bikin lontong sayur seadanya buat obat kangen 😤 . Selain juga tentunya ada aneka baklava , permen dan aneka coklat serta yaprak sarması khas Turki.

Naahh.. lebaran tahun ini ada satu kukis yang saya baru bikin buat lebaran yaitu chocolate kukis a la good time yang enak itu... Saya ingat banget kukis ini kesukaan mas mbarep saya. Tapi pas di İndonesia dulu gak pernah bikin kukis ini di rumah karena banyak yang jual jadi. Biasanya sih bikin yang khas homy aja seperti nastar, kaastengels, semprit atau pastel mini isi abon.

Resepnya nemu dari insta nya mbk Hesti. Kata mbak Hesti ini resep favorite keluarga dia jadi saya pikir pasti oke dan siapa tahu jadi favorite keluarga saya juga 😘 
Setelah saya coba..waahh..beneran..ternyata enak banget! Makasih ya mbk Hesti resepnya keren as always. Recommended deh pokoknya.

Di resep asli mbk Hesti pakai suun yang digoreng dulu terus digerus kasar gitu buat nambah tekstur crunchy kukisnya, tapi disini gak ada suun, mau saya ganti pakai vermicelli juga lagi gak punya stock. Ya udah saya pakai choco crunchy cereal nesquik yang biasa buat sarapan anak saya. sebab mau berangkat beli crispy rice juga males. Hasilnya tetap ok dan crunchynya enak banget dari choco cereal itu.

İni saya reshare resep asli dari mbk Hesti plus sedikit adjusment dari saya disesuaikan bahan dan kondisi yang ada. Coba juga yukk.. siapa tahu jadi favorit keluarga kamu juga.

Resep Kue Kering Good Time
Adaptasi dari Hesti Hakim dengan minor adjusment by me.
Hasil: ± 700 gr

Bahan : 
- 150 gr gula palem, blender (saya pakai brown sugar 200 gr. Lihat cara membuat brown sugar sendiri disini)
- 170 gr gula pasir halus (saya pakai 100 gr gula kastor)
- 200 gr butter, lembekkan suhu ruang
- 2 kuning telur
- 200 ml / 185 gr minyak jagung (atau minyak non aromatic lainnya)
- ½ bungkus soun, goreng lalu gilas sampai agak halus (saya pakai kurleb 100 gr choco cereal yang digerus kasar)
- 50 gr corn flakes, gilas dengan gelas (saya skip)
- 2 sdm / 40 gr susu kental manis (saya pakai skm coklat)
- ½ sdt garam halus
- 1 sdm / 15 gr coklat bubuk
- 400 gr terigu protein rendah
- 20 gr susu bubuk (resep asli tidak pakai-opsional)
- ½ sdt baking powder
- ½ sdt soda kue
- ½ sdt vanili bubuk
- 200 gr coklat chips, pisahkan sebagian.


Cara membuat : 
1) Dalam mangkok besar #1 campur jadi satu; butter, brown sugar, gula kastor, skm dan kuning telur. Mixer dengan kecepatan rendah hingga cukup tercampur saja.
Masukkan minyak jagung dan mixer kecepatan rendah hingga cukup tercampur saja.
2) Ayak jadi satu dalam mangkok #2; terigu, susu bubuk, bubuk kakao, baking soda, baking powder, garam halus dan vanilli bubuk.
Campurkan bahan kering sambil diayak kedalam mangkok #1 dan mixer pelan-pelan hingga tercampur rata. Lalu masukkan separuh chocolate chips, crunchy choco balls/ rice crispy dan corn flake jika pakai. Aduk dengan sendok kayu hingga rata. Tutup dengan plastic cling dan diamkan dalam lemari es kurleb 30 menit.

3) Panaskan oven 150°C / 140°C (fan force).  Bentuk bulat-bulat sebesar kelereng kurleb 1 inch diameternya. atau gunakan 2 buah sendok. Atur diatas loyang bersemir margarin atau dialasi kertas baking, beri jarak masing-masing bulatan agar tidak saling menempel ketika dipanggang karena kukis akan melebar. 
Tambahkan sisa cokelat chip di atasnya lalu tekan sedikit dengan garpu (jangan terlalu kuat ya tekannya 😊)  


4) Lalu panggang kurleb 20-25 menit. Angkat dari oven dan biarkan dulu hingga dingin baru dipindah dari loyang. 

Note: Ketika kukis keluar dari oven akan terlihat lembek, tapi akan mengeras dan crunhy setelah kukis benar-benar dingin.
Angkat. Biarkan dingin. Simpan dalam toples.
