Spaghetti Meatball Sauce

Inspired by Italian cuisine. Our menu this time is a combination of two favorite thing of my hubby and mine : spaghetti and köfte (Turkish Meatball) .. So voallaa..  here we are.. spaghetti with Meatball sauce for our dinner menu ...

Ingredients and how to make Spaghetti Meatball: 
Make about 4 servings.
 1 package (500 grams) spaghetti.


Meatball Ingredients:
 500 gr minced meat 
 ½ part (± 100 g) white part only-staled bread
 1 medium onion, grated.
 2 cloves garlic, grated.
 1 egg, beaten.
 ½ cup bread crumb
 Salt and pepper to taste
 enough Oil for fry the Meatball

Wet old bread with small amount of water and squeeze until moist enough/ damp. Mix with all Meatball ingredients and shape them larger than marbles size. Heat enough cooking oil in a skillet/ pan, fry Meatball in several batches until cooked. Set aside.

Meatball Sauce Ingredients:
 1 medium onion. Finely chopped
 2 tablespoons olive oil.
 2 tablespoons tomato paste
 1 tablespoon chili paste.
 1 tbsp tomato sauce.
 Basil and oregano ½ tbsp each.
 1 ½ cups broth or hot water.
 Salt, pepper powder and sugar to taste.

Heat olive oil in sauce pan, saute onion until fragrant. Dissolve tomato paste and chili paste with a little hot water. Pour into sauce pan and stir well. Stir in tomato sauce, add in 1½ cups broth or hot water. Add salt, pepper powder and sugar. Check the taste. Mix in the meatball , stir well. Mix in basil and oregano and stir until all Meatball mix and coated with sauce.

How to serve:
Cook the spaghetti according to package directions. Strain and mix with a little olive oil. Place in serving dish or bowl, pour sauce and Meatball on top of it and sprinkle with dried basil. Serve immediately while hot. You can Sprinkle with grated mozzarella if you like.
